I have never liked about me pages/questions.
As a 4-year old, I visited my Grandma’s dying sister, and the last, and some of the only words that I ever remember Aunt Millie directing at me were: “Well, George (my Dad) it looks like you have quite a chatterbox”. Of course my response was, what’s that Dad?! The answer 22 years later? : I can (and usually will) talk about just about anything… except myself. With that, I will try 🙂
I am 25, born and raised in the Midwest. I earned my undergraduate degree from UNLV in Las Vegas, but then went back to school so I could work my way into med school. Since I was 10, I have worked with sick patients at Children’s Memorial. One day, I finally woke up and realized that I should stop being afraid of medical school. That I should pursue the one career I ever really wanted. And so that’s my life plan in a nutshell.
My favorite things to do:
Make other people smile or laugh
Listen to music
Read cookbooks and actually cook from them
Bake
Read
Listen to baseball games
Drive
Make jam
I guess if you add all that up, you could call me a nerd, and I’d agree with you.
My goal for this blog:
Life, but especially youth is fleeting. And I am apt to forget it. I wanted a time capsule to remember where and who I was throughout my life. I want to share my life with you, and ultimately share it with myself.
As a kid and as an adult, I have loved talking with older people, soaking up their wisdom and learning from their life experiences. I then like sharing the things I have learned. If it crossed your mind that I am that pesty woman in a bookstore who offers you book and music suggestions when you never even asked for them, you would be correct.
Things I have yet to learn but am working on:
How to speak Italian
How to play guitar
How to meditate
Oh, and I love cheese…. and now I have an excuse
